These 3 easy steps can put you on the path to your brand-new smile with Invisalign:

First, we will take a number of x-rays and photographs; to determine if Invisalign braces are best for you. We care about our patients and would never push a product on them we didn’t feel was right for them. After an initial evaluation, our Invisalign dentist here at Madison Green Dental will give you an estimated time frame for how long it will take to straighten your teeth with Invisalign.

Generally, Invisalign takes about the same amount of time as regular braces, 1-2 years.  

The next step is to take impressions of your teeth. Each tray is made specifically to fit your mouth. Once the trays are created you will come in for an initial fitting. It is normal for the trays to feel a bit tight upon first wear; since they are designed to shift your teeth into a new position.

Just as with regular braces, during the course of your orthodontic treatment with Invisalign, you will need to come into our Royal Palm Beach office every 2-4 weeks for our dentist to evaluate your progress. She will check to make sure your teeth are progressing as they should. Once your teeth have shifted enough in your current trays you will be issued a new set. This process will continue until your teeth are in their perfect position. 

The more time you keep the Invisalign trays on your teeth, the faster you will see results. If you keep them out more than a couple of hours a day it can really hinder your treatment, prolonging the process.

Ideally, you should wear your Invisalign braces, about twenty-three hours out of the day.

When you are comparing all of your options for straightening your teeth you should know that there are many advantages to Invisalign compared to the traditional method. 

• Probably everyone’s favorite advantage to Invisalign is that the personalized trays are clear. Most people won’t even notice you’re wearing them.

• They are easy to clean. It is important to take good care of your Invisalign aligners or they will stain, but cleaning them is as easy as taking them out of your mouth and brushing them with good hand soap or even dish soap like Dawn.
